Magic event at the Island!

Greg Woodrow and co-driver Kurt Kratzmann have thrown down the gauntlet by winning class A at the recent Phillip Island Magic one-hour endurance race. Although the outright contenders in the GT class were the more powerful Audi, Lamborghini and Ferrari cars, the class A G-Force GT3 Porsche was leading the event when Greg stepped out of the car at the half way mark.
The world class Phillip Island race track is difficult enough in the dry, and being on the coast, the weather can turn quickly. Kurt faced very wet conditions as he belted in for his stint.

The Porsche has no electronic aides and is a pure race car in the real sense, leaving it up to the driver to carry speed with deft car control in these conditions. The GT cars have traction control and ABS systems, and Kurt has put in a sterling drive to beat a number of the GT cars in treacherous conditions, finishing with the class win.
The boys are looking forward to more challenges and stepping up to the podium in 2018!

Akamai and O2 Networks

The team at Akamai incentified the O2 dealer network through their recent Skid Academy events.
At the 02 Networks conference, held in Melbourne’s Convention and Exhibition centre in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD, the team at Akamai offered the dealers an invitation to the Skid Academy events in their state. Overrun with interest in the latest Akamai and products, the Skid Academy days were an exclusive and sort-after prize!

On the day, the 02 participants gained expert knowledge on safe driving, and working in teams. All eyes were on the prize, a seat in the Race Academy Porsche GT3 Cup car. It wasn’t just aggression and brawn that would gain you the coveted ride in these amazing cars. It took brains, teamwork and a willingness to raise above. In the end, the girls and guys who reached their goals were rewarded with the high-octane thrills of 200 plus KPH!
